The Search for Ecum Secum………..
No, I haven’t lost it! Really, I haven’t. In the midst of the anxiety, the housework, the need to pack, class preparation to be done, and the general “to do” list of everyday life, sometimes you just need to stop, hop on the motorcycle and go for an adventure! Two weekends ago, in the midst of life, John and I needed to spend some time together and we needed to get out of the house. So biking we went. The goal…..head in the direction of Ecum Secum……..
First stop, Musquodoboit for ice cream and some pictures with the train.
Once fueled we continued on, enjoying the warm air, the lovely breeze, the sharp smell of salt water and the beautiful scenery.
We were persistent, km after km, we knew we would find Ecum Secum eventually – just when we thought we would turn and go home – there it was!!!!!! Our persistence paid off! YEAH!
On the trip home we stopped to take some pictures of interesting things:
We stopped for home made fish chowder in Sheet Harbour – so no worries about supper on our return home. About 5 hours on the motorcycle, through a very beautiful area of our province, helps to put the “to do list” of life in perspective.
Evening was falling when we arrived home.
Refueled, refreshed, reminded of the everyday blessings of the Lord. Now I was ready to pack for my trip, tackle the housework and get the rest of my class preparation done – and in God’s time and in His strength.
