Stuff
We spend a lot of our time murmuring about we don’t or even do have.
When we find ourselves with fewer things we wish we had more.
It really should not be about what we have or how what we have compares to what those around us have; it should have much more to do with our attitude and frame of mind.
Finding ourselves thankful for what we do have and working more to develop the relationships we are in, rather than accumulating more stuff will find ourselves much more at peace in our lives.
And when we do find ourselves in abundance we often complain about the things we have to do to maintain the more, like cleaning it, caring for, and maintaining it.
How often do we complain about housework without thinking first about the blessing it is to have the house and items in the house to clean?
How many times do we complain about getting groceries or running errands without first thinking about the blessing it is to have the means to allow that to happen?
It is time that we learned that the “better” is in the state of mind and heart we find ourselves, rather than the amount of stuff we have, little or more.
Let’s start focusing on the blessings, rather than the things and on the relationships rather than the comparisons and in doing so find peace in our minds and our hearts.
