Stormy Day Blessings

                                                           Thankful for Snow Days!

  • That first muffled announcement on 6:30am radio
  • SNOW DAY
  • Curling back up in bed
  • Waking up an hour later watching hubby sleeping beside me on one side and kitty snuggled close on the other side – warm, loved and content
  • Knowing I don’t have to get up yet
  • Morning devotions and tea inside while the wind and snow blow outside
  • New online learning course, from home, in my jammies
  • Meeting new people online
  •  New quote: “High achievements always take place in the framework of high expectations” Charles Kettering
  • Dr. Seuss quote: “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You’re on your own, and you know what you know. And you are the guy who’ll decide where to go.”
  • Realizing that my life is a set up – Facilitating Online learning course for me today, start in-class Alzheimer’s class next week – all in prep for my first time teaching Alzheimer’s online the next week – God’s schedule is awesome!
  • Power stayed on – although wind blows hard
  • Not having to go out – anywhere for anything
  • Watching the power of God in nature through my window
  • Realizing my body and mind are clenching and choosing to stop and unfurl those hands
  • Stolen minutes with my book in between times
  • Making supper
  • Time with hubby
  • Slowly finding homes for new Christmas gifts
  • Tree still up and it is 2014 (have I mentioned I love my tree – it is the best tree ever)
  • Thoughts of leaving tree up until I turn 40 in May  ðŸ™‚
  • Hot tea and blogging
  • Hubby, manly and caring, shovelling the snow
  • Plans for next week tea with a friend
  • It is still only Friday
  • Looking forward to first Sunday service of the year – Holy and Profound – worship and fellowship
  • Knowing I will survive this flu bug – eventually
  • Intricate frost flakes on the door

“Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.”

Ezekiel 36:25-28

New year
New day
New beginnings
Pure fallen snow
New heart of flesh
Living unfurled
Open wide
