Say the Word
Say to those who are fearful-hearted,
“Be strong, do not fear!
Behold, your God will come with vengeance,
With the recompense of God;
He will come and save you.”
Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
Then the lame shall leap like a deer,
And the tongue of the dumb sing.
For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness,
And streams in the desert.
The parched ground shall become a pool,
And the thirsty land springs of water;
In the habitation of jackals, where each lay,
There shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
A highway shall be there, and a road,
And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean shall not pass over it,
But it shall be for others.
Whoever walks the road, although a fool,
Shall not go astray.
Isaiah 35:1-8
We know what we believe.
We believe there are better days coming.
Days of recompense, streams in the dessert, a Highway of Holiness and a road to follow that will not lead us astray.
But the Word says we need to more than just believe it, we need to say it.
We need not only to say it to ourselves but also to those around us who are fearful hearted.
We are to speak the Word and to encourage others.
When you know a good thing it is hard to keep it to ourselves.
We must also apply this to our spiritual lives.
The Word is the good news.
We need to learn to use it as a means of encouraging those around us.
We need to learn to apply it in compassion and love.
We need to lift up those who are fearful hearted to be strong and not fearful, by reminding them that the Lord has a plan.
Speak the Word today!
