Prayer

Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles. Luke 6:12-13

Jesus had a decision to make; an important decision.
He didn’t just send up a quick “what do you think God” in the same breath He made a verbal commitment regarding those who would be His apostles.
He prayed.
He not only prayed, He separated Himself, going out to the mountain and He continued all night in prayer to the Father.
How often do we take decisions in our lives to the Lord in prayer?
When we do, do we do it earnestly expecting guidance and direction or do we do it having already made up our minds as to what we are going to do and looking for the blessing of the Lord on it?
We are a greatly blessed people to have One who is interested in our daily decisions.
One who will listen to our petition, our questions and our request for direction in our lives.
How often we don’t make use of that tremendous blessing in our lives.
We pray, but quickly, as we commit our time, money and giftings, not really expecting an answer as we have already made our decision.
What decisions do you have to make today?
Take the time, even now, to set yourself aside and truly seek the Lord.
He is waiting on you.
