But God….

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

But God…….Such powerful words!
In spite of everything around us and against us, we can say “but God” and that changes everything.  God loves us so much, that while we were still sinners an at odds with Him, Christ went to the cross for us.
He didn’t require that we “clean up our act” or “come to ourselves” first.
He went ahead and died for us anyway.
That means we can ease up on the judgement and condemnation piece – towards ourselves and towards others.
We are called to love others, to show them the love of Chris; and in demonstrating the love of Christ, to draw others unto Him.
We are not called to judge and condemn and somehow hope that that will draw others to Christ.
God sent His son to the cross for us while we were still in our sin.
How deep the Father’s love for us!
We need to learn to emulate that love towards all those around us!
Go forth in love today!

What is inside is greater than what is oustide

God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved;
God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. Psalm 46:5

As Christians we have a distinct advantage.
The One who resides in us is so much greater than what we encounter on the outside coming against us.
Because we know that, we can stand strong in the midst.
When the rain falls and the wind blows and the darkness comes, we know that we know that we know that the One who resides within us gives us courage and strength to withstand that storm that is brewing on the outside of us.
We shall not be moved!
Someone once said the darkest hour was just before dawn, but we know that is also the moment, just at the break of dawn, that our God will burst forth with the help we need.
Be encouraged today!
