Better

Better a handful with quietness
Than both hands full, together with toil and grasping for the wind. Ecclesiastes 4:6

We always want to find the better way.
The Word tells us that a handful in quietness is better than full hands with toil and grasping.
What does that mean exactly?
We can fight and push and strive in an attempt to fill both of our hands all the time, much of the time grasping at that which wasn’t even intended for us.
Or we can be accepting of the one hand that has what we need and is meant for us and skip the toil and the grasping and live with much more peace.
Remembering as well, when both hands are full, there is no free hand to accept the new thing God sends for us.
Get into His presence, ask for His guidance and direction and reach out for what He has for you.
But leave the rest.
And stop striving.
This isn’t a race or a competition.
It is a lifelong relationship.

Pressing Onward

Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12-14

God has called you to a life, not just a day.
Today is a new day in that life.
Whatever happened yesterday; things that went well and not so well, those things are now behind us.  Today we are taking out focus off those things and looking forward.
The goal is ahead, not behind, so why do we spend so much time looking backward?
We haven’t already attained or haven’t already been made perfect, so we must press onward and move forward in the strength and in the calling of Christ Jesus on our lives.
Go forth in victory today!

Mindful

The LORD has been mindful of us. Psalm 115:12
Mindfull=zakar=to remember, to recollect, to bring to mind
The Lord has remembered us, recollected regarding us, and brought us to mind.
We are not forgotten.
No matter the circumstances.
No matter what see in the natural realm.
The Word tells us that the Lord has been mindful of us.
That means we are on His mind.
Be encouraged in the midst of the storm.
The Lord has been mindful of us.
