He thinks about us!

Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works
Which You have done;
And Your thoughts toward us
Cannot be recounted to You in order;
If I would declare and speak of them,
They are more than can be numbered.
Psalm 40:5

The Psalmist tells us that not only has the Lord done marvelous things in our lives, He thinks about us.
What a wonderful reminder!
The Psalmist tells us that His thought towards us cannot be recounted in order……
they are more than can be numbered.
What a wonderful thought.
When I’m in the midst, can’t see the forest for the trees, am feeling discouraged and unsure, I need to be reminded – I’m on His mind.
I am that important to Him.
The Word tells us that He numbers the very hairs on our head.
If He is that concerned about me, thinking that many thoughts toward me, I can be assured that He has a plan and purpose for me and that He is in control of my situation.
Be encouraged today – He thinks about you!

Yet Praise

Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
Yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
The LORD God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills.
Habakkuk 3:17-19
Do you have a “yet” praise in you today?
In the midst of the midst of the midst of the storm, when everything around you is failing and you aren’t sure where to turn or what to do next, the best thing to do is send out a “yet” praise.
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
A “yet” praise will send all of hell scurrying.
The Lord is our strength.
He sees the beginning from the end.
He brings everything together for good to those who love Him.
As I begin to praise Him He will rise up within me.
He will become my strength.
He will make my steps light, as deer’s feet and He will help me up that mountain!

When the Circumstances Cloud Your Vision

And when John had heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples
and said to Him, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: “The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. “And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.” Matthew 11:2-6
John the Baptist was the forerunner for Christ.
He was, from the womb, the One who went forth preparing the people’s heart for Jesus’ coming.
His purpose and destiny was clear from birth.
And even John the Baptist had a moment where he questioned if Jesus was the One or not.  Sometimes when what we see doesn’t match up with our understanding/expectations of what we expect to happen, our vision gets clouded.
Jesus didn’t rebuke John for his question, He just reminded him to open up his eyes and see past the expectations………
”Go and tell John the things which you hear and see.”
Sometimes we ourselves can’t hear or see and we may need someone else to remind us of what is happening.
Jesus sent John’s disciples back to him to remind him that “the blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.”
Is your vision clouded today by your circumstances?
Are you expectations different from what you are seeing and clouding your vision?
Jesus is speaking today,
“Go and tell your name here the things which you hear and see.”
Jesus is here.
He is the One.
And He is working all things concerning you out for your good.
