I Cannot Reverse It!

“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent.  Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Behold, I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it. Numbers 23:19-20

Balaam the Prophet was called on by Barak to curse the Israelites as they began their move into the Promised Land; Barak and his people were very afraid of them, their numbers and the stories of the God that went before them.
God allowed Balaam to go but told him that he was only to speak the words that God would give him.  Four times he attempted to speak against the people of Israel and each time a blessing came forth rather than a curse.
Barak was angry but Balaam pointed out
‘If Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not go beyond the word of the LORD, to do good or bad of my own will. What the LORD says, that I must speak’? Numbers 24:13

What the Lord has blessed, no one in the physical or spiritual realm can curse.
The Word of the Lord goes forth and cannot return void.
The blessing of the Lord goes forth and cannot be reversed.
What has the Lord blessed in your life today?
Look not at the circumstances around you or to the people that surround you.
God is not a man, that He should lie!
His Word will go forth.  His blessing will come to pass in your life.
All things are working together for your good, even now.

The Cleft of the Rock

So the LORD said to Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.” And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.” Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.” And the LORD said, “Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock. So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. “Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.” Exodus 33:17-23

God knows all of our needs and protects us in all of our requests.
When Moses asked to see the glory of God, God knew that Moses could not look upon His glory in all its fullness and live.
In His graciousness and mercy He agreed to give Moses a glimpse of His glory.
But first He placed Him in the cleft of the rock and covered Moses over with His own Hand.
What a wonderful God we serve; a God that will show us His glory but protect us with His very own Hand at the same time.
What do you need today?
What have you asked of the Father?
Know for sure, that even as He grants your request, He will place you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with His Hand of mercy and grace.
