A Reminder

Sometimes we just need to start the day with –
A reminder of Who He is
A reminder that He hears the cries of our heart and
A reminder that he serves as our Shelter.

Hear my cry, O God;
Attend to my prayer.
From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For You have been a shelter for me,
A strong tower from the enemy.
I will abide in Your tabernacle forever;
I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah
For You, O God, have heard my vows;
You have given me the heritage of those who fear Your name.
You will prolong the king’s life,
His years as many generations.
He shall abide before God forever.
Oh, prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him!
So I will sing praise to Your name forever,
That I may daily perform my vows.
Psalm 61

Sing!

But I will sing of Your power;
Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning;
For You have been my defense
And refuge in the day of my trouble.
To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises;
For God is my defense,
My God of mercy.
Psalm 59:16-17

The Lord is merciful.
He has been my defense, my refuge, and my strength.
There is reason to sing His praises, early in the morning and continually throughout my day.
I may sing audibly, or I may sing in my spirit.
Either way, praises go heavenward.
Have you found the Lord merciful and faithful; a strong tower, a place of refuge and strength?
Then open your mouth, your heart and your spirit wide and began to thank Him for all that He has done and been in your life!
