Humble Yourself

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7

God has a plan.
God is in control.
God sees the beginning from the end.
We can humble ourselves under His mighty hand and He will guide and direct our path and the rising and falling of our journey.
We don’t need to strive, push and shove, and fight to get to the top.
God will exalt us in “due time”.
That is in the time that is most appropriate for our own individual journey.
We can be patient, not worrying about when and how we will rise, but taking all our cares and concerns and laying them at His feet, and trusting that in the appropriate time we will arrive where we are meant to be.
It takes off a lot of the pressure.
We just need to be mindful to be in His Presence and in His Word, listen to His voice and take His direction, and He will take care of the rest.

Comfort

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

We serve a God of comfort.
A God who is merciful and gracious and faithful and attends to us in our time of need, regardless of the situation we find ourselves in.
We need to take that comfort we receive from the Father and pass it on to those around us who find themselves in similar situations.
The best one to ask encouragement from is the one who has already walked a similar path.
Because our Father has graciously walked us through our tribulation, we know the way to encourage and comfort others who find themselves on similar journeys.
Don’t let the comfort of the Father be wasted by stopping with you.
Pass it on!
