Known

Though the LORD is on high, yet He regards the lowly. Psalm 138:6

O LORD, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O LORD, You know it altogether. You have hedged me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain it. Psalm 139:1-6

Our God is not a God who resides purely in the Heavenlies and watches us from afar.
Our God is a God who regards us.
The Psalmist declares that He searches us and knows us, our lying down and our rising up, even the very words that are about to come out of our mouth.
How wonderful it is to be known.
And how even more wonderful it is to be known by Almighty God.
His Hand of hedging is upon you even today; not a heavy hand of control but a firm hand of comfort.
Are you feeling alone today; set aside and forgotten by those around you?
I want to let you know that the Lord Himself is with you, closer than the mention of His precious Name, Jesus.
Speak it out even now and rest in His beautiful Presence.

The Midnight Hour

But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.  Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed. Acts 16:25-26
It is in the midnight hour of our days and our seasons and our lives that things shift, relief comes and chains are broken.
When you can’t see a way out, when you are at the end of your rope and your self-sufficiency, when you give yourself up to prayer and worship; that is when God will move on your behalf in mighty and supernatural ways.
Where do you find yourself today?
Are you hanging on tight to the end of that rope?
Have you finally decided you don’t have it in yourself to “control” this any longer?
Open your mouth wide and let the praises flow.
Paul and Silas didn’t only sing, they sang where others could hear them.
Be vocal in your worship; began to share what the Lord has done until now.
And prepare to see your earth shake and your chains loosed.
