Knowing

The hand of the LORD came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, “O Lord GOD, You know.” Ezekiel 37:1-3

God asked Ezekiel a tough question.
Ezekiel could have easily answered “No, these dry bones can’t live”.
Or if he wanted to be more strategic and not let on he lacked faith, he could have answered, “I don’t know, Lord.”
Ezekiel may or may not have had a clear answer in his mind, but he knew for sure who had the answer to the tough question.
God Himself!
 “O Lord God, You know.”
What a wonderful demonstration of trust and faith.
God answered with direction for Ezekiel to prophesy to those bones.
Ezekiel did so without question.
He not only knew that the Lord had the answer; he knew that the Lord’s answer could be trusted even if it looked questionable in the natural?
Are there tough questions to be answered in your life right now?
Do you not know how to answer?
Are you ready to say like Ezekiel, “O Lord God, You know.”
Followed by the willingness to take the direction that comes next?
Because Ezekiel trusted God for the answer and followed the directions given, a whole army of dry bones were raised up.

Oh that, “O Lord God, You know”, would be our refrain.
