In the Wilderness

A Psalm of David when he was in the wilderness of Judah.
O God, You are my God;
Early will I seek You;
My soul thirsts for You;
My flesh longs for You
In a dry and thirsty land
Where there is no water.
So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,
To see Your power and Your glory.
Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips shall praise You.
Thus I will bless You while I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name.
My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness,
And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.
Psalm 63:1-5

David was in the wilderness.
And where does a Psalmist focus when in the wilderness; on the goodness of the Lord, of course.  David was a worshipper.
He knew the faithfulness of the Lord in every circumstance.
He knew his Creator and his Sustainer.
In the midst, he longed for the Presence of the Lord. In the midst of the desert, He knew where his water would come from.
In the midst he understood, that the only way through, was through praise and worship.
What wilderness do you find yourself in today?
Do you know the faithfulness of the Lord?
Do you know your Creator and Sustainer?
Do you long for the Presence of the Lord; for the living water?
Open up your mouth and began to thank Him for everything He has already brought you through; for the breath in your very lungs.
And as you lift up your hands to the One who lifts your hands up, your soul shall be satisfied in the midst.
