Blessed be the Lord who daily loads us with benefits. The God of Our salvation!

“tis Monday again!
How the time passes.
I was blessed to be with the ladies of Woman Arise for a weekend retreat at beautiful Camp T. The Lord was present and we had an amazing time of sharing, fellowship, laughter and growing together in the Lord.
I was privileged to share my testimony with the ladies and to minister in dance.
God spoke clearly to me in that time about how far He has brought me.
Sometimes we tend to sit in the moment as if it is the only moment.
That just exemplifies the struggles the difficulties we are having.
All moments need to be lived in the context of what came before and the hope of what lies ahead.
The Lord has been speaking to me about expectations.
As woman I believe we live with “great” expectations:
Perfect life, perfect housekeeping skills, perfect children, perfect meals, perfect weight, perfect appearance, perfect faith.
Perfection doesn’t come this side of glory! And although we are to work toward becoming more and more like Christ, we need to be realistic.
When we are constantly working in great expectations we are constantly disappointed because things don’t pan out like the last cover of that house magazine or Pinterest post we drooled over!
And we wish our time away.
Great expectations lead us to always be looking ahead and planning for the next thing.
Rather than sitting and waiting and enjoying the moment that we are in.
Today is the day that the Lord has given.
He doesn’t promise tomorrow.
As Christian woman, living in Christ, let’s commit to living in the moment, in His moment.
Make eye contact
Really listen to that person talking to you
Wander through your flowers and veggie garden and watch the miracle of things growing
Sit with the children and really listen to their wisdom
And play with their toys!
Sit with that cup of tea or coffee and actually taste it
Take a few things off your list so you can enjoy the things that are on it
The dust bunnies won’t really take over and if people are looking at your house rather than your company they shouldn’t be visiting you.
Today is the only today you will get.
Live it with joy and abundance
So that there will be no regrets tomorrow.
Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?….But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these thing shall be added to you. Therefore do no worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own thing. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Matthew 6:27, 33-34
Go forth and live abundantly in the moment!
(you can comment on this blog – share with me and those reading how you lived abundantly today!)
