A Psalm of Thanksgiving

A Psalm of Thanksgiving
Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!
Serve the LORD with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the LORD, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the LORD is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.
Psalm 100

It is the Friday of thanksgiving weekend.
We are blessed to be on our way to Cape Breton (home) to visit with family and friends and to see the beautiful colours of the Cabot Trail.
It is a time to give thanksgiving (Hebrew work= towdah) which means to extend ones hands, in confession, thanksgiving and praise.
Thanksgiving for all the mighty works the Lord has done on our behalf.
Thanksgiving for the unconditional love He has offered us.
We extend our hands and lift them high.
Open to give and open to receive.
Open to symbolize our surrender unto the One who created us, knows our name and guides and directs our path.
May you take the time this weekend to really think about all that you have to be thankful for.
May you take the time this weekend to be a hand outreached to those around you.
Be blessed, be a blessing!
