A New Thing
Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.
Isaiah 43:19
For He says:
“In an acceptable time I have heard you,
And in the day of salvation I have helped you.”
Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
2 Corinthians 6:2
Happy Saturday!
The misty rain has cleared and the sun is peeking out from behind the clouds
The humidity is a bit much but nothing a good fan can’t take care of
Nico the cat looks like he is melting, all stretched out on the chair, legs going in all directions, following the breeze from one resting place to the next
A strong cup of tea and a good book are a good way to spend a few minutes on a Saturday in September.
What is is that you like about the fall?
The change in weather
The crisp morning and evening air
The fluffy white cloud puffs and the unusual shade of blue that is the sky?
What about the newness of a new season on its way
The excitement of “back to school”
The feeling of “starting over”, beginning “again”
The option for a “do over”
Let’s start at the beginning!
I believe that fall (like spring) is the season of NEW THINGS
But the beauty of fall is that is comes just after the middle
New beginnings just after the middle of the year
Without having to wait for a new year to begin.
Our God is a gracious and faithful Father.
He is waiting for you to step up and step in and claim your “do over”.
Today, is the day
To catch your breath and start over
Today is the day
To pause for a moment and reflect on your dreams
Today is the day
To choose the better things.
The Word says “now is the day of salvation”
Today is the day to step up and into the arms of a loving Savior
Committing to relationship with Him
That He may guide and direct your stops to a
NEW DAY
Full of NEW THINGS
Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.
Isaiah 43:19
What could be better than roads where none existed before
And refreshing water in barren places
Fall,
The time of new things
Springing forth
Refreshing in the midst of the wilderness.
Then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.
Deuteronomy 11:14
