Rainy Day Blessings
Give heed to the voice of my cry,
My King and my God,
For to You I will pray.
My voice You shall hear in the morning,
O Lord;
In the morning I will direct it to You,
And I will look up.

Rainy, windy day – very Fall like. Good day to snuggle up with the kitty and a cup of tea and a book or some knitting. But alas, work calls.
As I start my day I am reminded of yesterday morning. The house was dark when I got up – but as the time passed and I finished up my devotions, I noticed that it had become brighter. As I walked down the hallway I stopped in amazement at the beautiful light that was lighting up the hallway through the patio doors. The sun was beginning to come up and the light was soft, diffused and tinted with a touch of rose colour. It seemed to fill up the space in the hallway in the most beautiful way. I looked outside and the sky had just that same touch of pink on the black/blue sky. And the sun began to rise.
I was filled with joy in my spirit and felt the love of God pour in and through me. “Happy Monday my Child” He spoke into my spirit, “you worry about many things, take time to look at the simple, beautiful things I place in your pathway to lighten your spirit and fill you with joy.”
