Your Mercies in Disguise

I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; with my mouth I will make known Your faithfulness to all generations.
Psalm 89:1

The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy.  The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all of His works.
Psalm 145:8-9

Today I’m thankful and blessed by the multitude of mercies of the Lord!

Saturday Blessings:
Sleeping in
Kitty cat snuggles in the morning
My first view this morning – the sun on the brilliant red tree outside the bedroom window
A wonderful and refreshing time of fellowship during breakfast with friends
Last motorcycle day trip of the season
Refreshing wind – blow Holy Spirit blow
Wonderful smell of spruce and fallen leaves
        Stunning colours of fall
Stately houses, homey homes and neat cottages
Comfort and freedom on the back of the motorcycle
Tea and homemade cinnamon rolls at a country bakery
        Home
Turkey soup
Relief from anxiety
Productive evening
Voice of the Lord bringing clarity

Blessed by this song I’ve been listening to of late.  Click on the link below to hear it on Youtube.  I can see a dance coming…….

Blessings – Laura Story

“Blessings”
Laura Story

We pray for blessings, we pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
And all the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love us way too much to give us lesser things

‘Cause what if your blessings come through rain drops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

We pray for wisdom, Your voice to hear
We cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt your goodness, we doubt your love
As if every promise from Your word is not enough
And all the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long that we’d have faith to believe

‘Cause what if your blessings come through rain drops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know that pain reminds this heart
That this is not,
This is not our home
It’s not our home

‘Cause what if your blessings come through rain drops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You’re near

What if my greatest disappointments or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can’t satisfy
What if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are your mercies in disguise

What if, indeed?
Mercies in disguise!
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever!
