Direct Paths
In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:6
Thinking this morning about all the ways the Lord directs our paths.
Last night I was going from work to the gym for Zumba class (yes, Zumba!). I was ready to leave the office (early even, which is miraculous) when a fellow faculty popped in to chat about students and their progress. We chatted and caught up on necessary things. Then, of course, I was running a bit late 🙂
On the way to the gym I came upon a car accident involving several vehicles, that had just happened minutes before. By my calculations, if I had been any earlier I would have been in the middle of it. I don’t believe in coincidences…..God directs our paths, right down to having people pop in to chat when you are running earlier than usual to head off to the gym! 🙂
My God cares about the little details of my life as well as about the big details!
In November God directed our path to two days and a night away for my hubby and I. We drove the South Shore, admired the colours and the water and spent an afternoon/evening/night at the lovely SurfSide Inn in Queensland.
We had mid afternoon tea on the deck, a walk on the beach, a lovely supper and dessert in our room. We had a beautiful view of the ocean and the sunset and listened to the waves all night. God is gracious and gives us good gifts – the small ones as well as the large ones!
There was a very cool wooden tractor outside!
Continuing to walk in a spirit of thanksgiving!
Today I’m thankful for the little things:
McDonald’s time with Lincoln, Emily, Lindsay and John on Tuesday night.
My hubby bought me a lovely necklace yesterday, just because.
I know where my leg and hip muscles are today, after Zumba last night.
One class of students are finishing up Clinical and the other are ready to go out.
I got to sleep in this morning – even a little bit longer than usual.
The cat has stopped following me around crying, and has gone to nap in the clothes hamper.
I had time to blog.
I am getting many more lovely SILVER strands in my hair – just in time for Christmas!
Go out today and love the world! They need it!
