Fresh Snow – Thursday Morning Blessing

It is Thursday again
Overnight the snow fell
Quietly, softly
Heavy on the trees
While I slept
My mind grappled with the day- the days – in my dreams
I woke heavy and tired
That weary that comes from somewhere inside
Not from lack of sleep
Not from being too busy
Just there
Like the little engine that could, I mutter under my breath “I can do this, I can do this”
Kitty cat wants to stay in bed
So tempting
His purr rumbles softly in his throat
Swing my feet out and they touch the cold floorI look out the window
Fresh snow
Heavy on the trees
Covering up yesterday and last night
Soft and clean – new
Up, tea, breakfast
The Word
The blessing

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have  peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;
and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:1-8
The Lord speaks
My heart is touched
I’m still weary
But this time I say aloud “I can do this, I can do this”

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
And more of the Word
Life sustaining Word
Word that moves us
And gives us grace to keep moving
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.
Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written:
“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:31-39
If God is for me who (what) can ever be against me?
Fresh snow
Fresh covering
Grace for the day by His Word
The joy of the Lord is my strength!
Thursday Blessing
