March 20th
3 Gifts that Made you Laugh

  • Kitty cat antics in the morning – chatty as he walks me up the hall…..
  • those moments when hubby and I think the same thing and our eyes meet and we laugh – belly laugh, not only because it was funny but because we both knew it was funny at the same time
  • the absurdness of taking a whole evening to pack for a 2 day weekend away
This morning as I wake, sandwiched in the bed between hubby and kitty, warm and snuggley, I begin the day in prayer, in thanksgiving in joy. I made it this far – it is Friday – I’m off to ladies retreat in NB.  An opportunity to minister and be ministered to.  A time to be with the ladies, open, real and free.  I may struggle, I may murmur, I may wonder how to get through to the next day, BUT I am blessed beyond blessed.  I am chosen, I am loved, I have a Saviour who cares even about all the tinsel coloured hairs showing up on my almost 40 head……My God grants me strength for the moment, for the day, for the years. I am growing in grace and in faith.
Nico escorts me up the hall as we head toward the shower……chatting about his night and the crows he was watching in the window this morning. He is a very “verbal” kitty.
Hubby checks my car for the trip and bids farewell.
Nico and I have breakfast – tea and raisin bread toast – the sun breaks through the light clouds and shines in the kitchen window onto the table.  It is a spring light- soft, smooth, like the early morning sun in the Bahamas.
The Father shines on the day.  It is well with my soul, despite the world and its circumstances.
Have a Blessed FIRST FULL DAY of Spring!
