A Lion in a Pit

Benaiah was the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man from Kabzeel, who had done many deeds. He had killed two lion-like heroes of Moab. He also had gone down and killed a lion in the midst of a pit on a snowy day. 2 Samuel 23:20

Beniah was of the mighty men of King David.
Benaiah was a man who met his challenges head on.
As a matter of fact, we are told he even went down into a pit to kill a lion.
He didn’t wait until the lion came to him, he saw opportunity to defeat the enemy and he went in and went in strong.
The enemy will come at us, but the enemy will also lurk in pits and let us know that he is there, causing fear and uncertainty in our lives.
We, like Benaiah, need to learn to go down into that pit, meet the enemy head on and take him out.  We can’t afford to allow the enemy to intimidate us and cause fear.
We have a destiny and purpose and a work to do for the Lord and fear and uncertainty causes us to be unproductive and hesitant.
Be prepared today to go down into to that pit, meet that lion head on, and take him out!
