Suddenly

And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. Matthew 9:20

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Acts 2:2
“And suddenly” appears frequently in the Word of God.
It is an exciting phrase full of hope and expectation.
What is interesting about the “and suddenly” is that prior to it we often find people waiting.
The woman with the flow of blood had suffered from her affliction 12 years and sought many treatments to heal her condition.
The disciples were waiting in the Upper Room when the Holy Spirit came upon them; in the midst of their need, in the midst of their waiting, the suddenly occurred.
We may be waiting and the wait may seem like a long time.
The suddenly may seem to come upon us quickly and without expectation.
But the suddenly is the manifestation of the perfect timing of the Lord.
It isn’t “suddenly” for Him, but all in part and parcel of the plan He had in place.
Are you waiting on something today? Has the wait been long?
Your “suddenly” may be just around the corner.
The Lord has a perfect plan for it and in “due time” it will appear.
Be hopeful in that expectation.
