A New Song

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
I waited patiently for the LORD;
And He inclined to me,
And heard my cry.
He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.
He has put a new song in my mouth—
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the LORD.
Psalm 40:1-3
I waiting patiently for the Lord: He heart my cry.
He brought me up out of the pit I was in.
He set my feet on a rock and established my steps.
He has put a new song in my mouth.
You can’t understand my worship.
My worship flows from my life – where I’ve been, what He has done for me – where He has set me on a solid place.
He has placed a unique song, a unique sound in my mouth, to be released into the atmosphere.
It is mine.
He has done the same for you.
So, when you worship, don’t look to the right or the left to see what others are doing.
Look up.
Look at where you’ve been and where He has brought you to.
And in faith, open your mouth, and release the song He has placed in your mouth.
Allow your sound to go out into the world.
When others understand the freedom of your worship, they will be moved to trust in the Lord that made you that free!
