Intentionality
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way
that you may obtain it. 1 Corinthians 9:24
When Paul talks about doing life like running a race, he isn’t referring to life as a competition where winning is the only goal.
He is referring to the need to move through life with intentionality.
Life isn’t meant to be “a walk in the park”.
Life is meant to have a finish line (or goal) in sight, and to always be moving toward that goal.
It doesn’t mean you can’t “stop and smell the roses” along the way, but it does mean you are not casually sauntering through every day.
You were created with a purpose and a destiny.
Intentional living will move you towards that goal and the prize at the finish line, which is, at the end to hear these words:
‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord”.
At that time we will know that we have lived out the purpose and destiny we were created for, impacting the lives of as many people around us as we could for the better.
